All it takes is paper, tape, and a whole lot of determination. One color per digit!

Probably the second-most popular numerical feat on Pi Day, behind only that of reciting the digits, is getting together as a class, a grade, or a school, and stringing together a pi chain.  Yes, this tradition has been gaining momentum in recent years, and some schools have taken this project to new and amazing levels.
