Kid Digit Memorizers

It doesn’t get any better on Pi Day than watching that one student shock you with his or her sudden and unbelievable knowledge of the digits!

Yes, there are several grown-ups who have made the world record list for reciting thousands upon thousands of digits, but we feel it’s time to honor the kids and young adults who have taken up the very same impressive challenge.

Please, add your own students to these growing rankings! There must be a list of your all-time top memorizers lying around (if not in your own memory!). If your student isn’t first in his or her grade, they may still be honored on the extended rankings page!

For those who are comfortable sharing their success, send us their name, grade, the year they did it, and any fun details about how it all happened (the class contest, etc.). Student names can be simplified if you prefer (“Sarah G.”). Please count the digits starting after the decimal point (e.g., 3.14159 = 5 digits).  Hope to hear from you soon!
