Probably the second-most popular numerical feat on Pi Day, behind only that of reciting the digits, is getting together as a class, a grade, or a school, and stringing together a pi chain.  All you need is a list of the digits, some scissors, a lot of construction paper, and a whole lot of dedication.

Yes, the pi chain tradition has been gaining momentum in recent years, and some schools have taken this project to new and amazing levels.  Take a look.
